If acquiring or deaccessing art no fees are due up front as services would be compensated by commission after a successful transaction. All commissions are based on a sliding scale.
As a courtesy, HLK can offer a flexible payment schedule above a certain amount.
For other services like reviewing or inspecting an artwork where a transaction has NOT taken place, an hourly rate would apply to compensate for my time. An estimated number of hours would be provided in advance for approval. For larger projects like cataloging or curating a collection, a flat fee or monthly retainer would be discussed.
HLK is happy to offer a 'Friends and Family' special rate that is 5% less than HLK's standard commission.

I have an extensive collection located in my loft, an art storage room in the loft, an off-site storage area and art in my upstate home. I was a prolific but unorganized collector. Heidi promptly redressed that situation. We visited all sites, took photos and measurements and I now have it on DVDs. She provided labels for all the art and an appraisal for each piece.
