HLK Art Group curated the art for a corporate client’s office inside a Skidmore, Owings & Merrill-designed 44-story building. The 1.2 million square foot modern tower is located at Park Avenue between 52nd and 53rd Streets, where several prominent financial firms are located.
Our focus was to curate an art program that reinforced the client’s core values, encouraged employee interaction, and elevated the workplace experience. We sourced art that engaged with relevant contemporary issues by artists vetted for their excellence in artistic practice, historical relevancy, conceptual development, and career trajectory. The artists selected have exhibited widely in galleries, museums, and biennials, receiving critical acclaim. In addition, they have works of art in prominent private and public collections. The art selected met the highest standards of connoisseurship in terms of quality, long-term value, and place of importance in the artist’s oeuvre.
A broad spectrum of artists was considered, including multigenerational and historically overlooked figures and those associated with the LatinX, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC communities. At HLK, we strive to create meaningful and engaging interactions with art for every audience. We believe that art should resonate deeply and inspire connection, and we are dedicated to making that experience accessible to all.
