TESTIMONIALS

“Heidi has an incredible depth of knowledge in her field and a clear passion for art. Her experience in the crossroads between art and commerce, and her ability to think creatively, inject her work with initiative and thoughtfulness. She has been a formidable asset and I’m excited to see what she does next”. - Thomas Galbraith, CEO, Hindman Auctions

"With your help we were able to create an extraordinary atmosphere of access, insight and discovery for our intimate group of UBS clients, prospects and guests. From the perspective of incredibly connected and hard-to-impress guests--the entire package of events surprised, delighted and inspired our guests. The comments and feedback we received have been uniformly glowing!
I am also personally delighted to have been able to work with you over the weeks leading up to the fair. You have been open, receptive and engaging--which made our job all the more pleasant and our client's experience all the better. Your contacts, strategic thinking, and your energy were key to our success!"- Rod. V., UBS Private Wealth Management client

“I was always impressed by Heidi's deep knowledge of the workings of the art market, along with her ability to build a trusting rapport with clients and prospects. Her entrepreneurial spirit, the rigor of her thinking and her work ethic make for a very compelling combination. What made her a unique sales person though was the genuine personal touch she adds to these skills, her ability to make strong personal connections very quickly. Working with her was always a pleasure.” - Thierry D., Marketing Director, Port Authority

“Heidi has worked with clients in building first-class international collections of contemporary art.” - Micheal Gitlitz, Director of Marlborough Gallery

“Other advisors I talked to were going to charge me twice as much and take twice as long to do our first art exhibition and it would have been half the quality! Choosing to work with Heidi was a no brainer.” - A.T. Kearney

“I have worked with Heidi on a daily basis and believe she has an incredible understanding of the art industry; she brings a unique combination of Art Market knowledge and business savvy with a deep appreciation for art.
She impressed me by her work ethic, compassion and wide-ranging talent. She grasped the nuances and complexities of artnet's products in a short period of time and established herself as a top salesperson in her area.
I enjoyed working with Heidi; she demonstrated her ability as an executive who could communicate and work effectively with a team persevering through a variety of challenges. She is responsive, reliable and always enthusiastic. She is a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her with confidence to bring expertise and passion to any position.” - Cheryl S., C Fine Art, former colleague

“Heidi is an energetic person who truly loves art and working with artists. I found her to be knowledgable and enthusiastic about her curatorial projects with Twyla. Heidi visited my studio recently; her thoughts about my paintings were refreshing and insightful. I was impressed by her experience and involvement in the art world. She is truly part of the art community in the NY area. I wholeheartedly recommend Heidi, she would be an asset to any curatorial project or business!” - Carolanna Parlato, Visual Artist

“I met Heidi through an Armory Show Group visiting my art collection. That chance meeting has led to a lasting and rewarding relationship and friendship. I have an extensive collection located in my loft, an art storage room in the loft, an off-site storage area and art in my upstate home. I was a prolific but unorganized collector. Heidi promptly redressed that situation. We visited all sites, took photos and measurements and I now have it on DVDs. She provided labels for all the art and an appraisal for each piece. And this was all done at a very reasonable cost. Equally valuable, she has become my counselor on all matters art-related including strategy and disposition. We talk often. She is a trusted adviser and friend.” - Ron S., Client, Executive Adviser at Calatrava Grace Corporation

“Heidi’s enthusiasm and amazing capacity to put herself out there a hundred and fifty percent make her a valuable asset to any great endeavor.” – Jasmin S., Client, Director of Family Estate

“Heidi, thank you for your invaluable assistance picking up all those pieces at auction! You really helped me to bid with confidence that I would not overpay on pieces that are great investments as well as pieces I will enjoy looking at every day in my home and at my office.” - Lionel L., Client, art collector, New York

“Heidi is a gifted visionary and uniquely adept at championing artists and clients alike. While working closely with Heidi over the last two years at Twyla as a member of the art team, I had the pleasure of witnessing first hand Heidi’s ardent approach to all projects and challenges. Particularly impressive are her skills at encouraging collaboration and uniting forces to execute standout curatorial projects and experiences. Heidi’s magnetism and curiosity make her a powerful ally and I would endorse her for any role!” - Cornelia C., former colleague

🎯 The #1 thing serious collectors do first? Th 🎯 The #1 thing serious collectors do first?

They define a focus. The most successful collections begin with a clear framework — whether by movement, medium, geography, or theme where their interests are aligned. This guiding vision not only sharpens taste over time but also creates a cohesive narrative that strengthens both cultural and financial value.

✔️ Example: Take collectors Edythe and Eli Broad — their collection ultimately centered on Post-War and Contemporary art with a strong emphasis on bold conceptualism and cultural dialogue. That focus not only shaped The Broad museum in Los Angeles but also established a lasting legacy rooted in clarity and conviction.

A clear focus disciplines acquisitions, helps you say no to distractions, and positions your collection to appreciate with intent.

👉 Collecting isn’t just about what you buy—it’s about what you believe in. What vision drives your collection?
GOOD AURA One of my favorite parts of cura GOOD AURA

One of my favorite parts of curating? Discovering new artists — and watching their work breathe new life into a space. ✨

This acquisition project was pure joy: a vibrant curation designed to energize and welcome every visitor through the door. Movement, color, and light do all the talking. 🎨

Enter French artist Daniel Mato — a master of light and open space. His work channels the spirit of the color-field legends (think Rothko, Stella, Morris Louis), but with a fresh pulse: saturated hues that shift from moody depths to electric neon glows.

The result? A kinetic symphony of color that feels alive. ⚡️

I am grateful to @MorganLehmanGallery for making this magic happen and to my gracious client for the wonderful opportunity to showcase these beauties.

🎨IN THE STUDIO 🖌️ One of the greatest pri 🎨IN THE STUDIO 🖌️

One of the greatest privileges of my work is stepping into artists’ studios. These visits can’t be captured in just one reel, but the gratitude I feel is endless.

The East End has long been a retreat for artists—not for glitz, but for the light, air, open space and sea that continue to inspire. From Pollock and de Kooning to Mary Heilmann and so many living artists today, this place has given space for voices to emerge and visions to grow.

Opening their studios—sharing works in progress, struggles, and dreams—is an act of bravery. They remind us that art isn’t just to be collected, but to heal, reflect, and connect us as humans.

Each open studio feels like a gift, and I’m fortunate to live in proximity to so much hidden brilliance here on the East End.

Here’s to artists: past, present, and future. Thank you for showing us why art matters—always. 💫

ART COLLECTING TIP OF THE DAY This time of ART COLLECTING TIP OF THE DAY

This time of year is when museums announce programs, galleries open their seasons, and collectors tune in ahead of the November auction sales (Sotheby's just announced Lauder's Gustav Klimt's painting is expected to fetch over a shocking $150m!)

Let's brush up on art with HLK and stay artwise!

4 Green Lights To Consider When Buying An Artwork👉

The artist has...
✅ A steady, authentic practice
✅ Critical writing and meaningful dialogue around them
✅ Support and advocacy from peers and colleagues
✅ Exposure of their work and showings, if possible

But also has:

🌱 Community impact— nurture and engage with their art communities
🌍 Cross-disciplinary reach—collaborations in design, film, music, unique personal interests, or activism
📣 Organic buzz—peers, curators, or collectors talking about the work in real ways
💡 Resonance—when the work sparks conversation, reflection, or emotional connection

Reminder: These are market indicators, not value judgments. Every artist’s path is different, and significance can’t always be measured by a few factors alone.

PEARL MOON 🦪 This weekend we were fortunate to PEARL MOON 🦪

This weekend we were fortunate to catch the last glimpse of @JerelynHanrahan’s “Big Pearl…for Mondrian” at Bridge Gardens curated by @cfineart_sculpture_sights. 🌕

Its remarkable cosmic-like pull draw us in like moths to a flame. It felt especially timely with last week’s lunar eclipse — a reminder that, like the moon, powerful art shifts how we see the world, even if only for a moment. ✨

READING COMPS: 5 FILTERS THAT MATTER 👉 As we h READING COMPS: 5 FILTERS THAT MATTER 👉

As we head full swing into the new season, I’m kicking off with a fresh series of art tips for my fellow art lovers and collectors.

In light of the recent @thearmoryshow and the many acquisitions still trading hands (despite the post-Covid contraction and market evolution), it’s the perfect time to revisit how to read auction comparables. Even if there aren’t past sales yet, comparing how similar works are selling can offer valuable insight into how collectors and galleries think about pricing.

Here are the five filters that matter most:

1️⃣ The Artist — the market follows names. Reputation, career trajectory, and demand for an artist are the strongest drivers of value.

2️⃣ The Medium — paintings, works on paper, photography, or sculpture all trade at very different levels, even by the same artist.

3️⃣ The Year / Period — peak years or historically important phases often command premiums compared to outlier or transitional works.

4️⃣ The Subject Matter — iconic themes (portraits, abstractions, signature motifs) resonate more strongly than experimental or atypical pieces.

5️⃣ The Dimensions — scale affects both impact and pricing. A museum-scale canvas lives in a different market tier than a sketchbook drawing.

Stay artwise!
