Prospect Park Brooklyn, 150th Anniversary, The Connective Project by Area4
HLK consulted for AREA4’s ‘Connective Project’ during Prospect Park’s 150th Anniversary celebration. Area4’s large-scale public art installation was designed to further build community engagement which began with an Open Call to artists to submit works to be printed on the paper pinwheels which grew into a huge-scale installation with a seismic effect on Brooklyn at large. 7,000 individually designed pinwheels covering over 2 and a half acres covered the park’s sprawling green lawn.
Area4’s project allowed for public participation while working with artists and designers to create a one-of-a-kind world class experience.
“HLK Art Group led the development of the Artist Open Call, providing its deep knowledge base of the current art world.” -Area4
