HLK curation for designer show house Holiday House and Elsa Soyars Interiors as featured in Architectural Digest. The design story was “Paris Holiday” and this jaw dropper by NY-based artist, Marc Dennis was the perfect star for the dining room of this Charles A. Platt–designed townhouse (former residence of American magazine magnate, Henry Luce).
Jeremy Silva’s beguiling glass sculpture by the entrance, in collaboration with artist David Paul Kay, was right on point for the entryway. I was so grateful for the opportunity to work with such talented artists and designers!
The 12,000 sf, 5-story townhouse was the former headquarters of the China Institute on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Prominent architect and landscaper designer, Charles A Platt designed it in 1905 for Columbia University physician Dr. Frederick S. Lee. Later, Henry R. Luce, the American media magnate gifted it to the China Institute in 1944 and served as their headquarters for 70 years.
