Sol LeWitt: Works on Paper (1983 – 2003)
Curated by Heidi Lee, this exhibition included an exclusive collection of hand-worked gouaches by Sol LeWitt, a leader in the Minimalist and Conceptual art movements. Never before exhibited in public, the works represent a body of work completed by the artist during the last two decades of his life. The gouaches and folding screen were from a distinguished private collection. Four solo museum exhibitions for the artist ran concurrently at the Museum Leuven in Belgium, the Centre Pompidou Metz in France, Mass MOCA and The Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was indeed the summer of Sol!
